Essential Oils & DIY Kid Crafts

School is out and the kids are getting bored! Want some all natural activities for your kiddos??  

Try these essential oil all natural kid projects to keep your kids entertained and occupied this summer! 

PLAYDOUGH

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup salt
  • 4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 2 cups lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil, coconut oil works too if you that on hand 
  • Food coloring (optional but it isn’t playdough without all the colors of the rainbow and I always prefer the natural food coloring)
  • DoTerra oils of your choice 
  • Quart sized bags
  • Gallon sized bags

Instructions:

  1. Sir the flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a large pot.
  2. Next add the vegetable oil. If you are only making one color add in the color now as well.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly
  4. Continue stirring until the dough has thickened and begins to form into a ball
  5. Remove from heat and then place inside a gallon size bag or onto wax paper

Holiday DIY Gifts

So it’s official……holiday shopping season has begun!!  I’m one of those holiday gift planners; I plan each gift out, keep everything organized with an app on my phone, and I try to stay on budget.  Try!!!  LOL!!  This year since I’m home more and trying to spread extra joy and cheer, I have decided to make my close friends and family essential oil pampering products.  I love DIY gifts!  I get to be creative and get to customize them for the receiver.   

This year I am going with a peppermint theme.  Peppermint Essential Oil has so many amazing benefits.  This oil promotes healthy respiratory function, clear breathing, digestive health when taken internally, and repels bugs naturally.

Do you smell that?

Ahh, it's finally here. Fall, one of my most favorite seasons of all. I feel especially grateful for it this year because, well, 2020. 

Now, I know that we should appreciate each season and not try to rush the season too quickly, but I can't help it, y'all when I think of fall and I think of pumpkins then I immediately start thinking of Christmas and holidays and cold winter nights spent with those I love most on the couch cuddled under blankets while the sweet fragrance of spice fills the air. 

So what the heck, let's just dive right into fall and the holidays because, if nothing else, we deserve it after the year we've had so far. 

Nothing says fall more to me than this first recipe. I love the way it fills my house.

Fall Freshner

  • 6 drops wild orange essential oil
  • 1 drop patchouli essential oil
  • 1 drop ginger essential oil

Combine oils in a 4-ounce spritzer bottle. Fill the bottle with water. Spray around the house.
