Let me Fill you in...

Hey y'all.

So this post is a little different.

I've had a lot going on in my personal life lately and I thought about sharing it with you guys, but I wasn't sure I should until this past weekend.

This is my space for you to join me. This is a place for us to come together. And so I knew I had to share what was going on.

So where do I start?

My father-in-law recently had a heart catherization and stint placement after learning that he had had a heart attack one Sunday morning. After lots of testing it was obvious that he was on course to have another heart attack if action wasn't taken.

There was damage done to the heart, but he is on medications to help strengthen his heart and keep the stint open. He is at home and resting. Taking some much needed time off to let his body heal. And I'm happy to report that he is feeling much better.

Then there's my mom, Tammie.

I won't go into all the details here because you can actually follow her story at CaringBridge/Tammie Readling, but she is home and doing wonderful.

We've been managing her pain and we even got her to take a walk to the mailbox!

She is eating well, but we still need all bodily functions to get back to working properly.

Other than that she is sore, not really able to get up or down or in and out of bed. She definitely needs help getting around right now.

Her draining is improving and we will monitor daily for the next week.

And lastly, there's my Joel.

Joel got a splinter about a week ago at the dock at the beach house we were staying at. We got it out, but it got infected and he wouldn't walk on it and kept crying and saying that it hurt.

I believe his exact words were "BOO BOO"

So I took him to the doctor to have them check it out. We did the usual favorite products like Tea Tree and Correct X and it was helping topically, but the doctor decided to lance it and Y'ALL, that was the worst experience!

She got all of the nasty gunk out, but I felt soooo sorry for him. It took all three of us to hold him down as they tried to get it all fixed up. But man, he was such a trooper!

As of today is he is still not really walking on it, but it does look so much better than it did.

I cannot thank y'all enough for the sweet words and the kind prayers. We are so grateful.

And if you have anything that I can pray for you, please, let me know.

Hoping to get back on track this week and even launching a new series for the blog, "Friday Favorites" where, you guessed it, I'll be featuring some of my favorite things.

So grateful for you and this space.

Happy Monday, y'all!

XXOO!
