Friday Favorites: Quarantine Edition

I don't know about you, but I'm starting to accept this quarantine as the new normal.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but it is most definitely a thing.

So, since I am who I am and that's a glass half full kind of gal, I decided that it would only be appropriate for me to finish off my "Friday Favorites" highlighting and finding the things to be most grateful for in a time where it's hard to be grateful at all.

1. Extra time with the family. This might be my most favorite part of the quarantine, actually. Being able to spend time with my children and my husband is invaluable. Time never stops and it's one of the things that money can't buy. When it's gone, it's gone. And too often we take the time we have for granted. So being able to spend all these extra minutes with the ones I love most has been the biggest blessing.

2. The slower pace of life. Oh my gosh, y'all, but this part is amazing! No rushing around to be places. No waking up early if we don't wanna. Life just moves slower now. I'm not going to lie, it definitely took some time to get used to, but I don't know what I'm going to do when things go back to "normal" because I am truly loving this slower pace. We aren't rushing around and missing all of the things. We get to take time to appreciate the little things, the big things, and all the things in between.

3. All this extra time to do all the things I never have time to do. Whether it's new recipes that I get to try or a new book I get to read, I have soooooo much time for all the things, y'all. Learning new hobbies and trying new things. I mean think about it, when is the last time, before CV, that you got to just try all the things you've ever wanted to try? For me it was few and far between. Like I said, time is a valuable commodity and how we choose to spend our time isn't always in our hands. Having the time to do more things for ourselves is a gift I will never take for granted.

What about you? What's been your favorite thing about being quarantined? Did you take up a new hobby? Try a new recipe? I know it's easy to complain, but what's just one good thing you can think about? I'd love to hear it!
