Hey ya’ll!! This week I have thinking about deep cleaning in my kitchen. I don’t know about y’all, but this is something I dread doing, but love to have done, once I am finished.
This time, I’m really focused on using eco friendly products and essential oils in my cleaning. Grease and grime gets everywhere in the kitchen. That’s probably why the kitchen is one of the hardest rooms in the whole house to clean. Using essential oils really helps cut through all this, sanitizes, and makes your whole kitchen smell amazing!!
Here are some of the oils I like to use in my cleaning…
Oregano Oil-damp & dark places
On Guard Oil-counters, kitchen, & all purpose
Tea Tree Oil-toilets, sinks, showers, washing machine odor, makeup brushes, & exercise mats
Lemon Oil-toilets, skinks, showers, floors, stainless steel, & wood
Lavender Oil-deodorizing, laundry, & carpets
Peppermint Oil-windows, mirrors, & pest deterrent
Lime Oil-grease, glass, & descale
Eucalyptus Oil-tub & tile
Purify Oil-air, stovetops, & garbage disposal
Arborvitae Oil-wood
Wild Orange Oil-all purpose & polisher
Natural Cleaning Basics:
Baking Soda: absorbs & eliminates odor
White Vinegar: anti fungal & antibacterial properties
Castile Soap: lifts dirt, cuts grease, eliminates tough stains
Salt: effective scouring agent
Fractionated Coconut Oil: cleaner & polisher
If you need a little extra cleaning power, sprinkle surface with baking soda and then spray on natural degreaser cleaner. The baking soda will react with the vinegar, foaming up upon contact. Plus, the baking soda acts as a gentle abrasive to help loosen grease and grime. Always spot test the area first before using any new cleaner.
What essential oils to ya’ll like to use in your deep cleaning? I would love to hear about it in the comments below.
Blessings!! XOXO—Alisha
